Share Jira data as documents for your team and customers.
Create documents directly from issues, searches, boards, sprints, releases and your backlog. Share results in PDF, Word or Markdown, including with people who do not use Jira.
Single issue
Export any issue straight from the issue view — every standard and custom field, comments, worklogs, history, embedded images and attachments.
issue view → PDF / DOCX / MDBulk & JQL
Export an entire search, saved filter or JQL query as one combined document. Large result sets switch to a background job automatically.
issue navigator → one documentBoards
Snapshot a Scrum or Kanban board as a document — perfect for steering meetings and stakeholders without Jira seats.
scrum + kanbanSprints
One-click sprint reports with status grouping and sprint statistics — ship the retro deck before the retro starts.
status groups + statsReleases
Export a fix version as a release report — release statistics, issue-type breakdown and release notes your customers can read.
version → release reportBacklog
The whole backlog view in one document: active sprint, future sprints and unassigned backlog — ready for planning sessions.
active + future + unassignedBuild your template with drag-and-drop.
Place components, add Jira fields and check the result in the preview. Save your layout as a reusable template and adjust it whenever your requirements change.
- 34 drag-and-drop components — layout, fields, repeaters, comment lists, worklog tables, change history, SLA & approval lists, signature blocks.
- PDF, Word & Markdown preview — check your template with sample data while you edit. Download the DOCX to review it in Word.
- Version snapshots — every save is restorable in one click. Restore bundled defaults anytime.
- Layout control — portrait or landscape, A4 or Letter, margins and page breaks.
Turn your filters and dashboards into reusable reports.
Combine up to eight saved-filter sources with charts, KPI cards, issue tables, matrices and time series. Import a Jira dashboard into an editable report, review unsupported gadgets and export as PDF, Word or Markdown.

Use your existing Word templates with Jira data.
Keep working with layouts your team already knows. Upload a .docx in Word Template Mode and connect its placeholders to Jira data. You can also export designer templates as editable Word documents.
- Native DOCX export — editable Word documents from the same templates, across every export context and scheduled exports. Real Word tables, headings and page breaks.
- Word Template Mode — fill placeholders in your Word file with Jira data while preserving its headers, footers, page numbers, fonts and styles.
- Safe by design — a restricted mail-merge language (values, loops, conditionals, formatters), not scripting. Macro-free uploads only, enforced by a security validator.
- Guided migration — a scanner detects common Xporter-style template syntax and suggests rewrites, so moving your Word templates over isn't guesswork.
Prepare Jira data for your AI workflows.
Export issues as Markdown for use in your AI tools. Choose Compact mode for concise content or Schema mode for structured YAML frontmatter. Check the token count in the designer before exporting.
Markdown Docs
Create and send recurring reports automatically.
Reduce repetitive export tasks: create and attach documents with Jira Automation inside Atlassian. For scheduled exports and delivery by email or webhook, use the separate Exportelier Automation app, which also provides an API.
Jira Automation action
"Generate Exportelier Document" renders a document for the trigger issue and attaches it back — entirely inside Atlassian, no egress.
included in main appScheduled exports
The Monday-morning status report, generated every Monday morning — recurring exports on a schedule, no slot limits.
exportelier automationEmail, Slack, Teams Workflows & API
Deliver by email (bring your own provider), post to Slack incoming webhooks or Microsoft Teams Workflows, or trigger exports from outside Jira via a token-authenticated REST endpoint.
exportelier automationYour Jira permissions also apply to exports.
Export only the issues you are allowed to view. Track exports and administrative changes in the audit log, and configure how long that history is kept.
The main app processes your documents within Atlassian. Generated documents are not stored permanently. External delivery by email or webhook is handled by the separate, optional Exportelier Automation app.
Traceable exports and changes
An append-only audit log records every export and admin event — pseudonymous IDs, metadata only, with filters and CSV/JSON export for your compliance team.
Digital PDF signatures
Cryptographically sign exports so Acrobat detects any tampering. Use the bundled certificate or upload your own for trusted signatures.
GDPR retention & auto-purge
Configurable audit retention with a daily automatic purge. Generated documents are streamed to you and deleted — nothing is stored long-term.
Permission-first, always
Every operation starts with a permission check: exports run as you, seeing only issues you can browse; template management is admin-only.
Optional external delivery
Email, Slack incoming webhooks, Microsoft Teams Workflows and API live in a separate app you only install if you need them — with SSRF protection and encrypted provider URLs.
10-language UI
The Jira app's interface ships in full English and German, plus Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese.

V1.0 — Public launchLive
All six export contexts, the visual designer, branding, digital signatures, audit log, Jira Automation action and the Exportelier Automation app.
V1.1 — DOCX & Word Template Mode Live
Editable Word output on every export context and scheduled exports — plus Word Template Mode: upload your branded .docx and fill it with Jira data, headers and styles preserved. The migration release, shipped.
V1.2 — Reports, charts & dashboard import Live
The report builder with named Saved Filter sources, category charts, KPI cards, issue tables, matrices and time series — plus import from an existing Jira dashboard, Special Reports as one hub for every multi-issue export, and project-scoped templates.
V1.3 — Excel (XLSX)

Answers about Exportelier.
Does my Jira data ever leave Atlassian?
Not from the main app. Exportelier renders documents entirely on Atlassian Forge — no external fetch, no webtriggers, no third-party servers. Only the optional Exportelier Automation app sends anything out (email, webhooks), and it's a separate install you can simply not use.
Can I export to Word (DOCX) or Excel (XLSX)?
PDF, Word and Markdown are available today, including in Free. Word Template Mode fills your branded .docx with Jira data. Excel (XLSX) is planned for V1.3 and is not part of V1.2; see the roadmap for its release status.
Are generated documents stored anywhere?
Not permanently. Synchronous exports return directly to your browser. Background exports use temporary Forge storage, are deleted after download and expire after one hour. The audit log contains event metadata, never document content.
Does it handle custom fields, Tempo and Jira Service Management?
Yes. A field-renderer registry covers standard and third-party custom field types, with a safe fallback so unknown fields still render. Worklog tables include a Tempo mirror mode for timesheet-style output, and JSM tickets render request types, SLAs and approvals.
How much does Exportelier cost?
Free costs $0 and includes PDF, Word and Markdown with usage limits. Standard starts at $1.25 per user/month and unlocks unlimited exports, all 34 designer components and Exportelier Automation; Atlassian Marketplace tier pricing determines the invoice.
Who is Exportelier for, and what are its limits?
It is for Jira Cloud teams that need repeatable, branded documents without maintaining template code. Free is limited to 15 exports per site/month, 3 custom templates, 1 font family and 30 days of audit history. Exportelier is cloud-only, and Excel (XLSX) is planned rather than available today.
